ABOUT BRIGHTON MASSAGE

Hello I’m Michael (Mikey to most), The Muscle Mechanic. I’m the founder of Brighton Massage, which was born from my love of movement, healing, and human connection.
I am no stranger to pushing the limits of the body— as my background as a professional dancer, triathlete, and channel swimmer (19 hours and 25 minutes - nonstop!) has given me first-hand insight into what it takes to stay strong, flexible, and injury-free.
During my years touring the world, I became the go-to massage therapist for fellow dancers—offering treatments backstage, in dressing rooms, and wherever my hands were needed. And what began as a favour for friends, dancers and fellow channel swimmers has now become my full-time calling.
After swapping London’s hectic pace for Brighton’s fantastic vibe and people, and of course the sea air and all year round cold water swimming, I decided to create Brighton Massage with one clear goal: to help people feel better in their bodies.
I hold diplomas in Holistic Massage, Physiology, Pathology and Anatomy, as well as certificates in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Hot Stones. I have a Level 4 Sports Massage diploma. Whether you're dealing with tight muscles, recovering from an injury, or simply in need of some relaxation, I tailor every treatment to suit your needs.
My goal is to create a calm, welcoming space where you feel truly looked after. I believe massage isn’t just about physical relief — it’s about giving yourself time to reset, reconnect and restore balance.
Having trained hard and recovered often, I know what your body’s going through — and I’m here to help you move and feel your best. From tight shoulders to tired legs, I’ve definitely been there. My personal experience with pain and recovery helps him truly understand what your body needs—and how to help it heal.
